New Gift Card Choice- Macy's!

hey that is awesome! I don't usually go to Macy's but I can start!

We have Macy's in our area now and that is the route I am going. I would love to see amazon.com gift cards...maybe in our future we can hope.

It is a great option and gather's choice to use MACY'S was a good one. I found out about it last night through a friend and have actually seen many posts on this today as well....the word is certainly spreading fast isn't it?!?

Cool! I dont have a macy's anywhere around here but I wonder if you can use them onlnie? Ive never even been to a Macy's! The closest one for me is Around A 3 hour drive to Chicago! I would love to cjeck it out though. Thanks for the info :0)

Awww you beat me to it! I just saw that and was going to post about it too. I don't really shop at macy's, but will if it is free! Yay! I am soooo excited about the new option. I only need a little more points before I can get a $25 gc.

There is a Macy's about 45 min. from here. I am still going to shoot for the Home Depot ones because my mom is talking about fixing the house and those gift cards would come in handy.
I like Macy's but their prices are a bit steep for me. I am glad that there is another option for all those Macy's lovers.

There used to be a Macy's here in town before it closed due to lack of sales. When it was here, I never went there because the store never impressed me. However, if I can get a designer bag (like MICHAEL Michael Kors "Brookeville" Shoulder Tote) for free, then I will be a definite fan.

More options is definitely better.

How funny... I had just recently emailed Gather about adding more stores for GCs.
But, alas, there is not a Macy's to be had in Iowa that I'm aware of... :-(

Susy, double check around you- just 2 years ago, I had never even -seen- a Macy's, and now, I know where at least 5 are just within an hours drive of me. I believe the old Marshal-Fields stores have all been bought out and turned into Macy's stores.

I'm kind of against going too commercial, in terms of what gift cards Gather offers. My reasoning behind that is how many additional people will come out of the woodwork if more versitle types are offered? I mean, I know a LOT of people who don't come here because they don't offer a Wal-mart card. While -some- people here might like to call my type a Cyber Welfarian, imagine what it would be like if Walmart or Target were offered.

It'd be great to -have- those choices, don't get me wrong. I'd pick em if they were offered. But I just have a feeling that the site would get too large if we had everyone here, and the content would take a nose dive, big time. So, I am happy with a Macy's card, but hope that the site doesn't go -too- commercial. ;)

Kathleen- is 12 Oaks the mall in Novi? I wonder how far that would be to drive... Hmmm... ;) I've only been there once and loved it. Of course, I was 12 with $100 to spend anyway I wanted at the time, too. It was easily (at the time) the largest mall I had ever seen.

Macy's are known for their good sales! Our store is about an hour away but my daughter has one near her so I may save up for a card for her next birthday!

We don't have one here, but I too wonder about the online option.

I'm not sure that's a really good thing for me. Macy's is SO expensive! Why can't they do JCPenney or WalMart or something??

The Bon Marche is now known as Macy's here where i live. I think i bought an outfit at macy's in California while i was there spending all my money. I'm glad that there is another choice to spend my points on now...

It is great that they have added a new option. I am on the cash option, but still I think it is great news.

I'm glad they are adding more retail options. I am 3 hours from a Borders so more options are nice.
