 | As we approach 2008, Americans deserve to know the people that seek to lead us. We deserve to hear beyond the sound bites and see past the rehearsed debate answers. We need the candidates to share their plans for America in detail and answer our questions in full. To make that happen, we need your help.
Today, we're inviting each candidate to participate in an ongoing conversation with America. You will ask the questions. We will give each candidate an unlimited amount of time and space to respond. And you can compare the answers the candidates give, apples-to-apples. Help us pick the right person to lead America in 2008! Please visit america.gather.com to add your name to our candidate invitation, then invite your friends to participate in this groundbreaking conversation. Let's ask for real answers to real questions about the issues that matter most. Let's Create Debate together. Tom Gerace, founder Gather.com

| | | Spartan * (member since: Sep 29, 2006) -Writer / Producer / Director / D.P. / Lighting Designer... I discovered my passion very early in life. Because of this I like to say that I have never worked a day in my life. People just pay me to play with my toys. People who know me in person will tell everyone that I am a very gentle man. However, it would be foolish to confuse that gentleness with weakness. I never plan to stop "imaging" or "sculpting with light". I will be doing this until they plant me. I will leave you with my anthem borrowed from a dear friend..."Whatever mark I leave behind will be my sunset, and those who might observe it someday will hold me accountable for the feel of its light"--Gordon Parks (teacher, mentor, friend)... more »

I am currently editing my novel, I'll Fly Away, and preparing to send it to publishers and agents in attempt to get it published. Welcome to the all-new Community Event Calendar & Daily Digest!
Your resource for everything HOT, NEW and NEXT in the community!
I hope that you enjoy the new format, enhanced features and improved focus on YOUR content, groups and activities. Some calendar modules will change daily to reflect current or special events. Plus, new weekly features will appear on specific days...including the return of the 'Spirit of Community' and Gather Group Awards!
Your feedback and suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!
Note: Please use the buttons provided above to submit your answers for today's "Daily Diversions". Thank You!
Tomorrow's special feature: Photo Journals & Essays!!
Later this morning I will list the winners of yesterday's Daily Diversions. The section featuring these members, and their content, is not quite ready. :-(
Some items remain the same each day (contests, etc.), but hopefully there will always be something new for you to explore! :-)
Shhhhh!!!! You're supposed to submit your guess using the button under the image!
ha ha ha
You'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if you're right (and the first one to submit a correct guess)!
Mary Mc
Good stuff.
Help me get a publishing deal with a 10 rating and a comment. I comment back.
I'm also excited to see what the Candy Land thing will be like.
The description (or legend) for the symbols has been moved to the separate help document which can be accessed via the 'help' link within each navigation area.
The square symbols will allow you to receive an email or text message reminder for the event or deadline. This feature will be working again tomorrow. The round symbol indicates whether the event is sponsored by Gather, or by a member. If the symbol has a red background, then the event or deadline occurs today.
I hope that helps!
Everything looks GREAT!!!!
It has been a busy day in the 'offline world' so I have been unable to complete the new section spotlighting the Daily Diversion winners from the prior day. Consequently, I will list all winners tomorrow (from today and yesterday), and feature select content from that member. Then, over the weekend I will add the new section, when I will have more time to complete it. My goal is to feature the winners without adding significantly to the length of the calendar.
Thanks again for your patience, and for all of your great responses...my inbox is getting quite a workout! :-)
The Buzz looks great very good job on it, again thank you
