Well we have one, but it is broken.
Yessir, it is sadly unable to perform it's duty to brighten our Christmas spirit.
Here's why:
I wonder how high I can climb in this thing?

What do you mean I'm not supposed to be up here????!!

Come on China, look I can take a bite of this, yum!

Christmas Joy is meant to be shared!

Well, Tigger ended up knocking over the tree and breaking the stand off the bottom of it.
Last year we used a borrowed tree.
This year I am still not sure what we are going to do.
!. borrow a tree again?
2. buy a new tree? problem with this one, money to buy a tree....
3. duck tape and bungee cord the old tree so it can stand up?
4. wait for a sale or or or or......
My son is still young enough that a tree is really important to him and I have to admit it is important to me too.
So, what to do......
If we do get a new tree, how do we keep the cats off of it?!
I've had cats living in my household since I was 11 years old and this is the first time one has ever broken the tree or even climbed the tree!
Tigger is dreaming of taking the tree apart again, limb by limb, but I've got to outsmart him this year!
So,
any suggestions?

THIS is why I am not decorating this year. We have TWO six month old twin Siamese AND a 3 month old puppy.
I'd kill everything breathing if one of my houses got broken. :-O
Cat's rule !!!
I think I will have to have a spray bottle ready for them!
It is about eight feet tall and just about that big around at the bottom too (diameter, not circumference). If I put it in front of the window, it blocks the front door. If I put it where the sofa is I have to do without a sofa for a month. Same with anywhere I put it. Something else has to go. No thanks.
I just need to purchase one of those slender ones for this room so I don't have to remove furniture to make room for the tree like I did last year. In fact, I'm headed out to do just that tomorrow.
Good Luck...
You could always go with a smaller tree and put it in a room where you can close doors!
Again good luck
Maybe you could get a small one to put up where the cat can't go like in a certain room and keep the cat out of that room. I wish I had more suggestions.

Oh, and the beautiful glass ornaments I've collected are staying in their boxes IN THE ATTIC! I found some inexpensive, but pretty plastic ones to replace them while the kitties are still young and crazy enough to try to dismantle a Christmas tree.
The squirt bottle will also be handy!!! Mine, however, already figured out it only squirts when a human is there to use it on them.
i haven't had a cat in many moons and my pitbully just licks the ornaments now n' then when she is next to it...LOL..problem i have is keeping her away from her huge stocking and from sniffing the pressies...
you could get that stuff you spray to keep animals away from plants...just has a scent they don't like and i have heard that it works outside,so why not inside?
also, first time i have heard of anyone buying a tree AFTER Christmas!...does that mean those who do leave their tree up into the month of January?....you do know it is bad luck if you don't take your tree down by New Years day,right?....hehehe...(joke)
hmmm...maybe you could make a large cut-out tree....bahahhaaaaaa
cheers,gayle
We still haven't decided what to do.
My son is tired of waiting for a tree so he moved his 1 1/2 foot tree into the living room until we get a 'real' one. LOL It took Tigger just a few minutes to have the little tree knocked down. Luckily, it didn't hurt it!
hugs...
