Dance Me To My Heart
by Cathryn flowers Ritchie
A cavern deep within
forgotten, crumbled,
Swirling in the dust of pain;
a glint
a whisper
a hidden diamond.
In the depth, I am there.
In the darkness
a sliver of light
a fragrance of grace
a lightly played melody.
Alone is not a place for waltzing
nor a place for souls to emerge;
no safety there.
So, dance me to my heart.
Hold me close
tell me of love
tell me of loveliness.
Dance with me
And lead me to my soul.
Yes, dance me to the end
of all I am
Then I will sigh,
I am home.
