I would pay off our credit cards (which are low to begin with, but hey, a $0 balance would be nice), and then buy hubby and I each a new computer, and put the rest in savings.

Strange to say, but $5000 in the bank wouldn't do much for me. I owe far more in medical bills, so it would make a dent in them, saving me about a year in payments. Now my creditors would like it.
