Are You a Homebody or a World Traveler?

Did you know that the average person lives within 50 mile of their birthplace?  My hubby is among the average since we live about 40 miles from his birthplace.  I do not - I live 3,010 miles from my birthplace.

 Are you among the average, or have you traveled the planet?  How far away from your place of birth have you ventured?

My family lived in four Midwestern states while we were growing up. I lived longest in Michigan, until husband and I moved to Washington in 1984. After two years in Seattle, we moved to the Olympic Peninsula and have been here ever since. Have traveled through Canada, Great Britain, Sweden, Norway. My kids are all being raised here, but they've traveled some too. Guess I'm mostly a homebody now!

I live in the town where I was born in Missouri. I didn't grow up here or live here all my life........but I am here now. I love it here and probably will stay here forever. I am definately a homebody. I love to fix up the house and decorate and make it all homey.

I'm a traveler by birth and have traveled every chance I get, my husband is a traveler too.........or so he says - but he lies...he's a homebody and only travels when he's stressed....which does not a traveler make....LOL. I was born and bred in Apache Junction, Arizona.....and live in Indiana. My hubby was born in Aurora, Illinois and lives in Indiana....now you tell me who is the traveler.....LOL

I would probably still live within 50 miles of the town I was born in, if I hadn't married my husband. He's in the military, and we currently live about 1100 miles from home. When he gets out (still a LONG time in the future), we will probably move back to Missouri. Most of the places on my husband's dream sheet are close to where we grew up.

Only about 1500 miles. My daughter (age 22) is halfway round the world from her birthplace, literally, central Pacific and all that. Whew.

I live right were I was born. Well not at the hospital but at the same state and city. Only about 10 miles from the hospital.

I would like to move but I would miss my family to much.

I live no farther than 15 miles from where I was born. I have never lived out of Texas. I have traveled to other states and even Mexico, but was always happy to be back close to home.

I was born about an hour's drive from where I live now, but I was raised about four and a half hours from here but it's all in KS. I have been to Italy and Ireland. I've been in about a dozen different states, unless you count flying over. I have only lived in two different towns since I turned 18. I love to travel, but I need the security of a home base.

My husband and I have flip-flopped (uh-oh). When we met, I was living within 100 miles of my birthplace while he was on the opposite coast. Now we live within 35 miles of his birthplace and I live on the opposite coast. Seems fair, I guess. He is typically a homebody and I prefer to travel.

I have traveled to Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida but born and lived in South Carolina my entire life. I live where I was born! Like to go places but am always ready to return home.
