Not about Christmas. I love Christmas. My tree is up. The house is decorated. No shopping yet, but that will come.
The bah humbug is for technical help for computers. I've just spent close to two hours, trying to solve a problem, first online then by phone. Every now and then my laptop gets these black lines that flicker across the monitor and all I can do is turn it off. It should be a simple solution for a computer person, right? Well, obviously not. After many questions from them and the answers I could give and after disconnecting the monitor from the desk top and connecting it to the laptop per their instructions, I finally am told it could be one of two things (don't ask) but they can't decide since it isn't messing up at the moment. So I'm to work on the laptop and call them when/if it does the same thing. Sigh. Life used to be so simple. Just give me a typewriter, ma'am.
On a happier note: I'm being interviewed on internet radio tomorrow. If you have a chance, come listen. You'll learn more than you ever wanted to know. It's at 12 noon central time. 10 am pacific time. The link is:

It will be archived if you want to hear it later. I hope my voice doesn't freeze or I don't sound like a dork.
Happy writing, all.

laptop sounds most likely to be a loose connection... is it under warranty?
Now why couldn't the "expert" come up with something so simple? I'll check it out. Yes, I purchased a 4-year warrenty otherwise I couldn't have talked on the phone that long because they charge.
Friends like that are nice to have.
I do regular PC repairs, not laptops... but that would be my first thought, anyway... hope it helps
