Just a short note to all my connections to let you know I will be out of town for a few days. I'm heading to the coast to visit my granddaughter as I do every couple months. The trip over may be a bit more exciting this time due to the snowy conditions. Snow is forecast again today for Snoqualmie Pass. I'm not leaving town til just after noon, so hope to be at the pass by 4 PM if the roads are decent. There is a winter storm warning today for nearly the entire state!
I do have studded tires on. I know a lot of people think they should be outlawed but I'm glad to have them when I am driving on winter roads.
I'm hoping the Internet connection at the hotel is working better than it did in October. I would just get my granddaughter asleep and think I could do some commenting on Gather. BUT, the Internet connection would go down each night about 9-10 PM!!
Liam will be going to work each day with his mom. He had wanted to come with me, but they are going out of town this weekend on a holiday outing. I would rather have him along when the roads are good.
Will try to drop in as able and let you know how things are going. I'm hoping I can find some neat craft fairs to attend with my granddaughter.

I am sure you have a few personal email addresses.
Be sure to pack you some extra water and munchies, incase of a traffic jam.
Love ya girfriend.
;-)
Will have my daughter check into the pass reports during the day for me.
Got here to problems, so maybe not a fun time at all.
God bless you and your family...
see you when you get back...
As Wilma got out her book of secrets that few ever see
Inside were the recipes for all type of chocolate ants
And a primer about flying cows, honey pots and dance
Madison said the flying cows really sounded cool
But for the other stuff she didn't have a clue
For she wasn't much interested as she said
I want to go to the pool so we can swim instead
We are having a rough time, not much fun. Now there are avalanche warnings out in the Cascades for tomorrow afternoon when I am to return home.
Here's some wish=hugs to help you get home on. I hope the snow stalls somewhere else and you don't get bogged down.

On the weather front, it has been snowing here for many hours. When people in Seattle, see more than 4 flakes of snow, it's a national emergency!! Now the passes are closed and only vehicles with chains are being allowed through. So don't know if I will be able to get home tomorrow. Have to check out of this hotel by noon and then will lose my internet connection to keep up on the road and weather reports.
Trying to get my granddaughter to sleep but she is wired tonight, knowing it's my last night here for this visit.
Tomorrow actually doesn't sound a whole LOT better but I have to get home sooner or later. I am hoping to head out about 5 AM as it is supposed to be warming everywhere. That can mean avalanche problems around Snoqualmie Pass.
My son and I made MANY trips between places today. His friend with the truck didn't show so we were able to move almost everything in my big car. Moved his antique dresser and his big recliner. He just has the sofa, loveseat, mattress and frame and entertainment center to move. Plus has to get his dog to Madison's mom and move his 2 bikes. He is hoping he can convince a coworker to come over after work tonight and take one load for him.
Had thought Madison would be picked up around 3:30 but when her mom heard I was staying overnight, she asked if it was OK if she went out to dinner. So Madison and I went and sat in the hot tub and got warmed up. She was fine but I was soaked to the skin, my coat, shoes, socks and pants.
I am having trouble getting updates on the pass. I guess chains are still required. If that is the situation still by 5 AM, I will have to take Stevens Pass home. I have NEVER gone that way in the winter and do not want to. It's a steeper, narrower road and higher pass elevation.
When I got home, the last thing I wanted to do was be online, so asked Elsie and Norma to let people know I made it home. 12 hrs on the road for what usually takes me a little under 4 1/2 hrs!!!!!!!!!!!! (Well, I did stop one time for hot chocolate and one time for a late lunch.) The lunch was at a chain restaurant which in this location did NOT believe in public relations or service!! First time in years, I did not leave a tip.
Wilma, I dont do mass emails, so I just wrote an article telling them you were home. I knew most of our friends would stop in eventually. Being able to exhale knowing you were safe.
Sorry you didn't have time for fun. Hopefully you will on your next trip. I don't know how you manage all the stress. I don't think I could handle it.
