CLOTHE YOURSELVES with MODESTY?
"THORN of the FLESH"
To clothe yourself with modesty is very
hard to do,
The worldly things all glisten and pull you
to them too.
Fancy dress and ornaments have been the
staples of,
Many generations based on worldly love.
With pressures all around us and a push for
something that your not,
Soon modesty is forgotten and turns to
worldly rot.
The subtleness all around us and the
inescapable sublime,
Can bog you down inside your heart and
wrestle with your mind.
When the cultures are a haunting the
modesty inside,
The loss of self within the masses tears
away true pride.
Pride that was God given wherein the spirit
resides,
to build the faith within us until His
Kingdom does arrive.
You CAN learn to wear the blinders to keep
from worldly want,
And aspire for something Higher, which is
His heavenly gallant.

So true Glen, good thing there IS more to LIFE! Boy is it ever Christina, when we live in a world where they are in your face to conform to the worldly norm. Finally, Ronald you are so right about the world moving so fast. The older I get the faster this world seems to spin. That is probably why I jumped off; spinning in the wrong direction. LOL
