deciphering words
amidst tattered pages-
resulting from folding
refolding,
of yellowing letters,
wrapped carefully
with love.
a single tear flows.
This is for my mom. She was going through my dad's papers. She found a wrapped bundle of old letters. Those letters were written by her to him. She never knew, he had kept every single one of those. I did not intrude on her privacy. Someday, I hope she allows me to read those letters.

refolded tattered pages but wrapped carefully...Real and sweet.

my parents too have a trunk full of love letters that they send top each other ...My dad promised to show me few once mom is away ..she is too shy to let us know of all that ...
tattered pages, eternal love
Tattered Memories , I just wrote a poem about such things, called In Storage, up today
I might suggest Together Forever
Great writing, thank you.
this 'short verse' Guatami wrote for MOM.
I must take the words from the poem itself...but I think "Pristine memories" brings the best sentiments of this poem...Though the paper were old, wrapped, folded and refolded but still pristine...
The title that just appeared in my mind is Folded Love
I hope that you read them soon. They must be very loving.
She's your child.
Have you decided?
We're waiting!!!
I had that same problem with a title for what became
"Polka Dots and Sunshine Teardrops"
Teardrops on Tattered Pagesr
reads better.
I did and reposted it today. Please do check it.
"A Single Tear" is a good summation and would also set the stage for the reader.
