Diane, Richard, Sam, John, Anthony, Jane & Tom - Craig had not arrived yet and I took the picture.

We had originally planned to spend Thanksgiving with a bunch of friends at the nearby beach park as we did last year...but too many of them had made other plans early this year and we then decided to have a very untraditional Thanksgiving meal and enjoy it as a picnic....
When one of our friends realized that was what we were planning, she invited us to her home for the meal with other friends and would not take no for an answer....so we got our arms twisted and took her up on it.... Glad we did. It was a lot of fun and the food was plentiful and delicious!
I made the green bean salad I mentioned a few days ago to take over to share.
For some reason the pictures came out with an amber glow....no idea why.

We enjoyed pupus made with rolled up smoked salmon filled with seasoned cream cheese and an asparagus to start, along with a mixture of nuts and other tidbits.

Â
The turkey was huge.....20 pounds for 9 people!

The beautifull set table!

Â
Friends sharing Thanksgiving at the table - the empty chair was mine!
The menu consisted of Turkey, Mashed Potatoes with butter and cream, Southern Style Yams, Homemade Cranberry Relish, my green beans, rolls and then pies for dessert, both a pecan pie and two pumpkin pies.
Thank you Jane & Tom, we had a very nice time!

Everything was delicious and "a good time was had by all"
Thanks, Katrina, you gave me the idea of sharing this with y'all after I saw yours.....!
Our Christmas Eve is usually just a light but fancy meal of hors d'oeuvres and I think these will be on my menu that evening!
I'm so glad you had such a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Deb and Tonia, I will ask Jane exactly how she made them and will let you know ;-)
The asparagus was slightly crispy.
Thanks!
Your photos were great. (and the turkey was HUGE)
I liked the pupus made with rolled up smoked salmon filled with seasoned cream cheese and an asparagus to start, along with a mixture of nuts and other tidbits. (how it looked anyway) I was also going to ask you for a recipe for this. LOL
Thanks!
