I planted a few succulents and cactus in a round terra cotta pot I had years ago. Everything was looking good up until last week. One of the cactus in the pot had this green chunky slimy looking stuff on it.

A day later there was like webbing on it, from needle to needle, and the green stuff turned yellow.

The next day a piece of the cactus had fallen from the rest of the plant. It was laying on it's side, and hollowed out. It was also brown now.

It's really yucky, and parts of the cactus are deformed too...
I don't know if you can tell from the small photo...if you click on it, you can enlarge it though. (I was not able to get this last photo into the article like the others).
Anyway, anybody have any ideas on what's going on with this cactus? Is it some sort of bug, or is it a disease? None iof the other succulants and cactus are effected, only this one. I am going to remove it from the pot today, just wanted to see what was going to happen!

I have hardy cactus growing outside, but have never been able to grow cactus in a pot. Eventually, I will over water them, thinking they are too dry. I never learn!
