Each preposition I suppose
Directs me to what I should know
At least there's something to expect
Yet from this start I now reflect
On unseen changes in my life
Perhaps a clue in sudden light
Or slow unraveling of facts
Holding some truths I could extract
Sorrows lingered in misty gray
Sometimes it seemed the shadows sang
Preparing my heart for such woe
I had no choice and felt like Job
Other moments seemed like a dance
Joy filled my heart like deep romance
And only warmth did my heart know
From sharing love that filled my soul
Most days have patterns that unfold
From well known stops along this road
Sometimes a crossroad will appear
And the choice has a hint of fear
So as I sit and write this poem
I know not what tomorrow holds
It may hold treasures of my dreams
Or leave me weak with misery
No matter what I'll take God's hand
For God has blueprints of my sand
He will guide me while Angel's sing
From Him I trust what life will bring
If all my hopes are ground to dust
I know my God is being just
As a sinner His grace I need
It is His choice what he gives me
So prepositions of my life
Are the unknowns God's hand will write
I hope His voice will fill my heart
And fashion peace on seas I'll chart

This is a masterful poem that takes one on a journey through your life.
There's one thing that I can't agree with. There seems to be a touch of dejection.
I'm a firm believer, like you, but i add this caveat"God helps those the help themselvs" and so I nevet feel that I'm a boat blown hither and thither by God's will.
In my encounters with God it's always beeb about specific pints. Just my two cents worth. Get well buddy. We need you here.
I had no choice and felt like Job
I did not read all of the comments, but the above part threw me...
But the below part moved me so.
So as I sit and write this poem
I know not what tomorrow holds
It may hold treasures of my dreams
Or leave me weak with misery
I think I will print it up when I get back home. (Currently I'm typing away on my laptop, waiting to leave town.)
Good one indeed!
Let God write the script and the tale will be wondrous and full of Light.
Although you are always the Captain in-charge of your ship, let Him be the Navigator who charts the course that brings you safely home.
