Are those not two of the most beautiful words in the English language? Well, I suppose it depends on what has ended. In this case, I typed those two words at the end of page 177 of Life on Hold, my ya novel.
I think I'll send it to my critique group now and find out where the holes are, where it makes little sense and how it might improve. I haven't checked punctuation yet; that's in the next edits. I hope to have it ready to mail in January or February. I've been working on this story for over a year now. It's time to let it go. But I wanted it to be the best it could be.
I don't plan to submit any manuscripts in December. Who wants to read submissions this time of year? Very few editors I would imagine. Anyway, I'm thrilled it's done, except for tweaking the small stuff. (I hope.)
I just finished reading Tremolo, Cry of the Loon by Aaron Paul Lazar. I nice look at the '60s. More about his book later.
Have a good weekend.
