Today I went walking in Miantonomi Park, which is on the north side of the city of Newport, on Hillside Ave. just north of Admiral Kalbfus Blvd. This park is atop Newport's tallest hill, and is topped by a stone tower built to commemorate the dead of WWI. The forest here is mixed, much like upland New Hampshire and Vermont - Oaks, Beeches, Maples, Hemlocks, Cedars, and Gray and Paper Birches. This park is lovely much of the year, but it's at its loveliest in the Fall.
So without any further words, let's walk through Miantonomi Park.

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Somewhere ages and ages hence;
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference."
