Thankful or thankless about recent Gather posts?

Going through the recent articles, I don't have anything to feel thankful. Almost ALL are games.

 

Consider me an oddity for feeling this way on the eve of thanksgiving!

I'm with you. But you know that. I also never respond to contests or challanges. I'm old fashioned enough to believe that writing a good poem is challange enough

It's become "all about the points" for a lot of gatherites.

I should have got on the point weasel thing earlier. Then I could have racked up enough points to get everyone in my family gift cards for Christmas, without spending a penny of my own money. Although then three spirits might have had to visit me...

Judi, I see the sun allright. But I don't have to tolerate mediocrity. We are all born to give our best and so we should.

Posting senseless stuff is no way making the creative juices flow...

Yesterday I posted a poem based on American Sentences. I suppose no one bothered to look.
I'm still thankful for Gather. My friends and family are here, and so I shall stay...

There is one thing more annoying than the games - those whining about them. The whining usually says more about the whiner than the games, which are quite easy to spot and just skip over.
the games won't end and neither will the complaints about them. go figure.

Well said, This is really a tormenting issue, so many game stuff is posted by people who don't want to think creatively, they just like points to collect for card.

I try to avoid the games. Have found several interesting articles this weekend though. There have also been several really good book reviews.

I try to improve my writing and concentrating on my projects, I try different genres. Few times I participate in fun and games and most of the time I am focussed on my writing.As an Indian , I have a lot to share so I love to spread my culture... magical things...and interesting festivals..
