PLEASE everyone always remember to be respectful and thankful for our soldiers in all branches of the military.

THEY ARE OUT THERE FIGHTING SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE YOUR FREE SPEECH !!!

My son is one that is out there for you now.

God bless all those men and women out there! I am hoping we get high comments marks on this one so all the vets,parents,service members and anyone affiliated in any Day will feel good about how they are supported. My husband served in Saudi during Desert Storm and I remember how hard it was on us and that was before we had our children. We saw each other maybe 3 months of our first year of marriage. We both suffered but in the end we supported each other. I have the deepest respect for our Veterans, Military members and their families! Thanks for posting !

Thanks I'll check out the site and send them my thanks, they certainly deserve it! My ex-husband did two tours in Vietnam and no one thanked him.

I hate what happened with Vietnam I too feel they were somewhat forgotten, and not thanked for the hell they went through. I also wish the government would provide better for our troops especially those who have had injuries , sicknesses , and mental difficulties due to this war.

Having been in the Army for 3 years stationed in Berlin, Germany from 18-21 years old it was hard being away from home for the holidays but I tried bringing the holiday spirit by playing Christmas carols and I made a small one foot ceramic tree which all my friends put their presents under and we gathered Christmas morning to open them! Its one of the xmas's I'll never forget. Even though we were far from home, it was home for the time being! You adapt and I'm sure our soldiers are also, but it would be nice to thank them.
As for the Vietnam Veterans, they were soldiers doing their job for our country , which soldiers swear an oath to defend when they join up, and even back then as a child I appreciated them and couldn't understand why they were treated so horribly when they returned.

As a participant in Gulf War 1, Mogadishu Somalia, and the Serbian/Croatian conflict, I want to thank you all for recognizing our heroes.

Ann C. - I think it sweet that you are still concerned for your ex husband. I wish I could thank him personally. The way Vietnam Vets were treated was atrocious.
