Hello my Gather friends on this pre-Thanksgiving Eve!  Please just drop on by and let me know how your day is going!

I've been up since 3 a.m.!  I don't know what's going on with me!  My daughter will be getting up at 6:30 to get ready to go to school!  I was so tired last night that I went to bed at 8:00 p.m. Maybe that accounts for the "early rising"!

Well, I sure hope every one has a great Thanksgiving!  Stop by and let me know what you will be doing this weekend/Thanksgiving!

And have a great "Gather" day my friends from the Middle of the Mitten, Michigan!

My family will all be meeting at my Aunt's house that is about 20 mi. away from where I live. That should be fun ~ especially for my 8 yr old Chloe, since she'll have her 7 cousins to play with!!

Gather ate my first comment and it was kind of long. Lets try this again....I am going to my son's house for Thanksgiving. My boyfriend has to work until 2 so I get to start the turkey. He is the usual cook in the house. My DIL is making the rest of the stuff. Her oven quit working so thats why I am making the turkey here. Then on Sunday, we are going to my BF's brother's house for more turkey and prime rib. Yummy. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi, Deb and everyone else. Love that picture of Ernie's.

I went to bed early too and then woke up at 4 AM. Couldn't get back to sleep as my mind was full of worries. Now it's getting close to the time I have to get up, so might as well stay awake. It's 28 outside which is about 10 degrees warmer than it was forecast to be.

I'm eating at my daughter's house tomorrow around 4 PM. May take the kids for a fun run/walk tomorrow morning. Other than that, I don' t have any plans until I go to work Friday afternoon.

Happy, happy holidays Larry, Reena, Melinda & Ernie & my good buddy Wilma! We are supposed to have from 1-4 inches of snow by morning and then more on Thanksgiving Day! Thank goodness we only have about 20 mi to go for Thanksgiving!

Im late, always late here lately, gosh a lot of lates, Huh. Good afternoon Deb. Just checking in on my buddie to see how your day is going. Looks like you are feeling better and I am kinda down in the dumps. We are cooking and washing dishes, fast and furiious today. Trying to get things organized for tomorrow. Hi, Deb. No my day isn't hectic at all. In fact, it is going to be rather empty for the next 24 hrs or so. My daughter is getting off work early as her office is closing, so she will pick the 2 older kids up when they get out of school early in an hour. Liam and I are at one of his classes and then I will run him home.

They aren't eating until late tomorrow so my day is pretty empty. I may take the kids on that fun walk in the morning if I can manage to drag myself outside when it is 20 degrees.

Hi, Deb and Happy pre-Thanksgiving to you too. This is going to be a rather stress-free Thanksgiving for us, and I have enjoyed today so much. We are not rushing with preparations this year. We will have barbeque with my daughter tomorrow for lunch and supper with my sister's family tomorrow evening. I think it will be fun. We can sleep late and have an easy go of it. Hope you are doing well. And Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

And my 8 yr old Chloe and my grandson Gavin, just 4 are now back home after our big Thanksgiving Feast with relatives at my Aunts huge rambling house!! Lots of shouts and laughs and children playing happily and LOTS AND LOTS of good homemade food!!! It is cold in here. Burrrrr Hope your Holiday was a good one Deb. We had a great meal. Plenty to eat and still have plenty for Tracy to take home enough for her evening meal too and probably a couple of days. We just microwaved a plate and didnt have to cook.The best part is that it is behind me now.

Just call me a hillbilly, I didnt even know what this Black Friday thing was until Tracy mentioned it yesterday. All I knew was that the day after Thanksgiving was suposed to be the biggest shopping day of all. It has always been the day I would under no circumstances go out and try to shop.

Now when the kids were small, I loved shopping for their Christmas. It was easy. they knew what they wanted and if I could afford it I usually had it for months before then.
I always ended up being expected to buy for this one and that one at the last minute. So I did it at the last minute too.

Hi, Deb. Thought I would check in and let you know I'm still alive! I appreciate your note and support!

I got to stay home tonight - hooray!! I'm going to a Christmas parade in a nearby town. There is a fireworks show after the parade and all the Christmas lights are turned on, that surround the resort. It's 27 out right now but will be colder over by the lake!!

I so hate being cold. My dtr, her husband and the 2 older kids went out shopping last night! Liam stayed with me so he could sleep. My son in law slept outside Best Buy all night, while Jacob slept in the truck. They have fancy cold weather gear so kept warm.

Well, Deb, I am later than Paula or Wilma, so forgive me, I had a house full (well five people, that is a lot for me anymore) yesterday, and I got really tired out, Gather has sent me no email notifications so thought everyone was off, and I am still not getting them so going under my pieces and saying you that way, takes longer but it is still fun,hope you had a great day. I am still lazy today. I swore I wouldn't do it, but I am alone tonight , Billy sleeping, and i heated up a couple of things, they tasted good, but I should be eating other things, oh well, tomorrow, Hope you had a good day today too. See you around, wish my gather mail would work.

I am writing back in RE of your comment on my shopping trip. I only spent $150 yesterday, all of the other money was spent by my mom for the kids mostly and my Christmas and birthday presents. I know how the car repair money goes. It's constantly something.

Sorry love to be so late. Just tired today. Trying to return comments again. You know, I am behind as usual. Missed you today. How was your Thanksgiving? Mine was fine, once the cooking and worrying was over. When we sat down to eat and I could just relax. I was fine. Donald kept things cleaned up in the kitchen as we went. So just a couple of roasters and I finally let Tracy talk me into disposable plates and glasses. Stuck as much as possible in the dishwasher.

Since we are living on leftovers now. With the help of a microwave. I can pull a few dishes out of the dishwasher at a time and tackle them. I forgot to get Cascade, dont want to run 46 mile round trip just for that.

Norma, thanks for thinking of me! I have not felt well at all today as I forgot to take my medications last night! I have just curled up in front of the TV most of the day...I'm feeling a little better this evening...but all in all it's been a strangely unsettling day!! I would have loved snow thirty years ago. But these old bones cant stand the cold anymore. I have grown accoustomed to Texas weather. I dont know what kind we are having now. We usually consider this Winter. 80 to 60 is Fall here. 60 to 80 is Spring. Summer is hot as a firecracker and Winter who knows. Some years it is cold, some it is nice. Think this is going to be one of those, where we freeze.

There is Wilma, I knew if she showed up at the Cafe, she would be here soon. Your friends are here for you Deb. I bet your kids dont care about the house either. I vote with Wilma, just like I told you before. Just enjoy them being around. I wish I could see my family, Tracy is the only one living close enough to make the trip for every Holiday. Thank God she always does.

Are you feeling any better Deb. I sure hope so. Being down in the dumps stinks. I have been so cold in one part of the house and so hot in the other. Its a wonder I dont have Pneumonia. I would love a cupful of sunshine. I have been dragging around not doing any cleaning at all. Im bad. Just now getting breakfast dishes finished.

I came here to say hi Deb and take care of yourself. So sorry that you're feeling blah. Sometimes when I am feeling like that I find that a nice relaxing bath helps to relax me and a good book or movie afterwards. Maybe something chocolate and decadent.
