Happy Thanksgiving

I have so many things to be thankful for. 

Though I have some health issuess,  extended family problems, and  grief from losing loved ones,  I have a wonderful support system to get me through all of the hard times. 

I let myself get taken up in a pity party earlier this week, let myself fall prey to pettiness, and made myself plum ashamed.  I am so glad that God gently whispered to me that I was being silly, and then reminded me how very much I have to be thankful for. 

I am married to a good man who treats me well.  We have children that have embraced what I consider good values.   They are all also in healthy relationships.  I grew up with parents who adored me. 

Though I am not wealthy, I have little monetary debt, a home in the country that isn't mortgaged, and a steady income. 

I have a good church and incredible friends. 

Mostly, and this is because of the goodness of God and his working in my life, I am grateful that when I lay my head on my pillow at night, I am at peace. 

With Thanksgiving coming up, and cooking for over thirty people, I won't be on Gather too much this week.  I wanted to take a minute to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving, and to let you all know, I am very thankful for my Gather connections.  Bless you all!
