Extended family and the holidays

I am not sure if anyone else is not so excited about spending time with the extended family this holiday season... I know I am not looking forward to the uncomfortable situations and the drama certain family members choose to create.

Some people and their actions just drive me nuts. Why can't the holidays just be enjoyable? If everyone was just on "good behavior" during our time together. You know trying to accept and be courious to each other... It's just one day, how hard is it?

My holidays are never filled with drama. I guess it is all in perspective. I just try to accept people for who they are regardless of their faults.

My family get togethers never really had that much drama. I really miss them now. I wish I was going to be seeing my extended family for the holidays. I won't be seeing them until the spring, though.

I am glad we don't have to deal with that, but yet I'm kind of lonesome for ANY kind of family, awkward or not. Anyway, I hope it all works out for you. You might be surprised at how well things go. Take a deep breath and relax... it will be over soon! :)
