You remember Scott McClellan, sure you do. That cute little guy who held the highly challenging job of Press Secretary for the Bush administration until he got tired of being flayed alive and quit. Well, now Scott has said an interesting thing.
In an excerpt of his forthcoming book, McClellan chats about the 2003 press conference in which he stated that Karl Rove and Scooter Libby were not involved in the Valerie Plame CIA "outing" episode. "There was one problem" recounts McClellan- "It was not true. I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the Administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, Cheney, the president's chief of staff (Andrew Card) and THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF!"
At last, the smoking gun of Plamegate, out of the mouth of the Press Secretary himself, who happily and willingly jumped on so many hand grenades while holding down that tough job.
Okay, fans of George W. Bush, if there are any out there at this juncture. Comments? Yes, we are all aware that Libby was convicted but quickly had his 30 month prison term commuted by Bush himself. Does this look a bit suspicious again as a quid-pro-quo, in the light of mcClellan's teaser? Stay tuned, this may be an interesting book. McClellan clearly knows how to start the bookstore buzz!

Coyotes Remember
Do I expect that McClellan's book will contain any more bombshells? Actually, no I doubt it. Book buzz tends to be like movie trailers: you put in all the best moments so that someone will buy it. Then they buy it and are a bit disappointed.
When they question his reason for it...and basically they all seem to feel its the money...dose it not occure to them that his conscience came to the surface...and there was no way this was going to make him a hero...and don't think he didn't realize he was going to be hung out to dry....big time...
Talk about a hero....Scott has only confirmed what everyone outside of the White House circle have been talking about for the last 5 years.....I don't need to read his book to confirm what I have believed to be true since the first day he accused the Iraq's were responsible for 9/11 when it had been all over the news they were all from Iran....that was the beginning of the lie....that has been embellished over and over again....to me Scott is a reall hero...and has the guts of Hercules...
If he ran for the Presidency - by God I would seriously take a look at his credentials...at least I would feel I could trust him and thats more than what we have out there right now...Every one hollers they want the truth in our political arena and when someone comes out with the truth...THEY JUST DON'T BELIEVE IT...........what hypocrisies...
