I read this article today about Sesame Street DVD's coming with a warning message saying that they may not be suitable for children. I think that this may be taking things too far and reading a bit too much into this situation. Please read the article and let me know what your thoughts are on the issue:

yes, get it. Show it to your kids. There's nothing bad there, it's just not sanitized for angsty millennial "helicopter" parents.
what has happened to our generation that we have become so regulated?
Give me a break! There are worse things on TV now than that.
Sanitizing the world is preventing our children from making their own value judgements on anything. Their children, not transistors.
I would rather my kid watch Sesame Street than anything they offer on Cartoon Network (Which I WILL NOT - let my child watch BTW) or any of the junk they put out in theatres these days (Like Shreck - which in my opinion is crass, gross & disgusting - another thing NOT allowed into my home).
It's so sad really -
BTW, my son thinks that the Shrek movies are the funniest things he has ever seen and just saw Shrek 3 for the 2nd time at a sleepover the other night. See nothing wrong with a little body noise humor! My dad used to sing the "Musical Bean Song" to me for years-on-end and that is just a more intelligent way of going about it!
