Christmas Version - Getting to Know Me

1 . Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Both! I especially like Egg Nog w/rum or brandy.  Tom & Jerrys are a New Years family tradition.

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Definitely wrapped. Lots of gifts for a grandson under the tree this year.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? Always white, reminds me of snow and icicles, something I gladly left behind in Minnesota, but yet reminds me of home.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? Nope, don't need it, kisses are always given, don't need a weed for an excuse.

5. When do you put up your decorations? Well, the outside lights are up, but my DIL wants to do more, I told her, "Let's go for it!" The tree will probably go up this weekend.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Mom's nut bread!

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child?  Going to my Grandparents after the Christmas Eve service at church.  Santa ALWAYS came and scared the b'jesus out of us
kids.  He wore a plastic Santa mask??!!

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? What? No Santa? You lie!

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We open ALL our gifts on Christmas Eve.  Christmas morning is the time for emptying the fireplace stockings.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?   With all the ornaments given/made for me by my children.  This year we are going to be doing a few of our own as my four year old grandson is living with us.

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? DETEST the stuff. My late hubby died during a snowstorm in MN.  One of the reasons I'm in AR.

12. Can you ice skate?  No, but I did try and pulled my sciatic nerve.  Couldn't walk for a week.  That ended my Dorothy Hamill dream...;))

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Yes! A toy typewriter given to me at the age of eight. Fits, as I grew up to be a web developer.

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Family, love and celebrating the birth of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Baking Christmas cookies with my girls was quite the experience! We'd be decorating, laughing and it never failed one
would get dropped and gosh dern it anyway, it had to be eaten!

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? Giving, always giving.

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Feliz Navidad

20. Candy canes? Yes? No? Color? Yes, red and white, hung on the tree.

21. Do you feel Christmas is too commercialized? Doesn't everyone?
