WHO BELIEVES THAT WE ARE CAUSING GLOBAL WARMING?

I don't because mars, jupiture, and even pluto has warmed up more then we have, and i do not see hummers on jupiture.

How hard have you looked? Jupiter is pretty far away. Between the distance, the thick clouds all over the planet, and the comparitively small size of a Hummer to Jupiter, I would imagine they are hard to see. What type of telescope do you use?

Well, I'm convinced. Global warming is a farce. Tyler looked for Hummers on Jupiter and didn't see any. Obviously we are being lied to.

The issue is not whether or not global warming happening, but rather , if it is, is it natural or man-made? If it is happening, and it's a natural cycle, we can't do anything except try to adapt. If is caused by man, we need to know that for sure asap so we can do what we can to stop the rise. Perhaps it is a combination of both. If so, we need to know that, too. In short-we need the verifiyable truth as soon as we can get it. In the meantime, let's not argue. I think we should err on the side of safety and not waste a lot of time.

The earth cycles in it's weather. Glaciers form and melt. Of coarse the earth is warming but it's supposed to. it's part of the cycle!~

Everything I read prior to the rush to end global warming showed the process is a direct result of the changes produced by the populating of the planet. Every person or animal born brings a new danger for the planet but we have probably contributed to its quicker replication since we insist on using carbon-fueled transportation. Since we have no choice except to stay bound to the planet perhaps we ought to do the sensible thing and try to save our own butts.

Very true Donna i think that in about 50 to 100 years we will be the cause but also that whole entire solar system is warming just look it up it is very factual.

Yes, I've read a few articles that question whether we cause global warming. In fact, global warming is quite natural. However, I believe that we are causing to occur much faster than is normal. There are a lot more articles supporting this idea.

Be sure to keep an open mind.

We aren't causing global warming all by ourselves. But we are doing our best to help.
The globe is warming. That's a fact. If we ignore that then we are fools. If we say, there's nothing we can do about it then we are quitters. If we make only token gestures like bumper stickers on SUVs then we are merely hypocrits (who can't spell very well).

I make the global warming with my farts. Hispanic and Asian foods contribute the most to this most devastating of climate crisis. Also, I make shit come out more often when I eat these foods, so that CAN'T be good.

I read the other articles, and what I think I find most interesting about them is that that we all know at this point that the majority of climate scientists agree that CO2 does have a large impact on global warming. Yet one or two scientists disagree and some people are ready to throw out the consensus. Inconvenient truth, indeed.

And I just have to ask, to what advantage would it be to us as humans to continue unnecessarily polluting the planet even if it wasn't for global warming. I mean, I can understand the people who continue to profit from it feeling that way, or at least trying to convince the rest of us that it's no big deal. But just what is in it for the otherwise little people who have nothing to gain, but potentially everything to lose with the status quo?

There is nothing natural about the climate change that is occurring. Our winters are too mild and the diseases that used to self destruct during long hard winters don't anymore. Anyone who thinks that the science can be argued with anymore is just ignorant. The facts speak for themselves.

I think that we are to populated and there is some truth to the global warming theory. The more people on this planet, the more food we need, the more garbage we have, the more vehicles we have. So I do think that we are contributing to the demise of our planet.

I know the climate is changing radically in some areas and less so in others. I was on the beach at Lake Huron this weekend and the water level has dropped to an all time low. Something's causing these changes. Who else is on this planet but us?

We're not causing it, but we are adding to it. The earth goes through natural warming and cooling cycles. That's nature. What we need to do is cut down on pollution.

There seems to be some facts that it is happening. Reports of thawing in the Artic and real worries about the future of the polar bear are obvious. I am sure we are adding to the problems of nature but the earth also has its' own warming/cooling cycles that have occurred long before we got here.

It has been shown without a doubt that the climb in CO2 always follows a warming trend. The GW supporters are always so willing to dismiss that bit of fact.
If it is accuring, then it is natural. Look one volcanic erruption will produce more greenhouse gasses than we do in 15 years, and there have been over 20 of them this year alone. The ocean produces more CO2 in the winter, than we do in 100 years. Dead animals and plants in one month will produce more CO2 and greenhouse gasses than we do in 5 years.
So how can we be doing anything to speed this up?

Alex, it doesn't matter whether or not we are causing global warming. What does matter is that we are poisoning ourselves and our planet and it needs to stop.

For all you global warmers, when all the ice is melted this ole globe is gonna start spinning and spin so hard you won't be able to hang on unless you go out and drive a handle into the ground and hang on for dear life and hope and pray it stops spinning before Walmart closes.
