Speaking in Fort Dodge, Iowa today Barack Obama took at shot at Hillary Clinton, who had earlier Monday said while speaking in Knoxville, Iowa that the country can't afford a president in need of on-the-job training, Obama countered by saying it is this sort of general idea of experience based on longevity in Washington isn't sufficient to make the voters of Iowa or the American people look away from candidates like Obama.
Obama further went on to unveil his proposed tax credit that he says would cover the costs of community college for most high school graduates. His tax credit would cover the first $4,000.00 of college costs which according to Obama would make community colleges completely free for most Americans. He was speaking to students at Iowa Central Community College.
While on the Republican side in a fundraising effort Fred Thompson is using email to drum up support for his "No Amnesty" television commercials.
"You can pay for a 30-second ad for my campaign in Sioux City, Iowa simply by contributing $70 to my campaign, and $250 will buy an ad in Greenville, South Carolina," Thompson's e-mail reads.
Most candidates plan a Thanksgiving stop in Iowa, with the Iowa Democratic caucus' about 6 weeks away, the push for more radio, tv, and public meeting with each candidate trying to get the swing votes.

Lame about Thompson begging for money so openly, don't think his campaigne is going to go far.
thanks for the info.
As far as the typos....well I just cant spell....LOL
Lori, Vicki, Bob - You will not hear their plan because they don't have one other than to promise us programs and tax credits they know very will they can't produce.
LOL
Jules, I know you and Colonel George are right. But, in the middle of all the hogwash, you do get a glimpse of what they believe. Just a glimpse, I agree. They pander so much its hard to tell what's real and what's a "please, elect me gift line".
But, I still feel compelled to listen. Sometimes when I hear one candidate accuse another of a flip flop, if I was listening while they were on the trail, I can decide for myself.
And, if I don't listen. What will I use to decide who to vote for? Toss a coin? LOL
For instance, I know we all disagree on Gather on how to tackle illegal immigration. Each candidate has a stance. How will I know who's closest (supposedly) to my position. Unless, I listen. I agree with Tancredo, Hunter, Paul, Romney (some days of the week), Giuliani (Some weeks out of the month)
I have children. What have they done in the past on Education? I actually think Dodd or Biden have the best plan on this one issue, but oh well. But, we disagree on immigration.
My mother, at 58, is retired after working for 35 years. She's watching her health insurance go up, and her retirement check remain the same. She's too young, and supposedly too wealthy (this is such a joke), to get any kind of assistance. She isn't always healthy. I really do want to know their plans. I'm not sure who I agree with, I can't discern their plans. Clinton, Obama, & Edwards say we can all be provided health insurance. Plans like these HAVE NEVER included me and my children or my parents. Or, you fear something like the subsidized insurance programs on a large scale. Wait in long lines, have the people in charge, treat you horribly, and pray mightily for a NATURAL cure, because you're certain if those people have an answer, it'll be wrong, and death would be kinder. Not every place is like these, but I've been to clinics like these with friends. They encourage me to keep paying those horribly high insurance premiums for my family. But, then you can still be underinsured.
I have a co-worker from Russia. He assures us, we don't want socialized medicine and jokes (I hope) about paying people NOT to perform surgeries on them, in hopes of getting someone better.
IRAQ, Terrorism, Trade...
I just need to hear it from myself. We need an AVERAGE JOE to run for the presidency. We need someone whose life is really affected by these policies. In our current crop, most are so rich - they won't really feel the pain of the policies they enact. They're kids will always go to good schools, they'll always be able to pay for college, they won't compete for their jobs with illegal immigrants, they'll always be able to afford the best care, etc.
I say fewer debates with Wolf, and start debates with Jules, Colonel, Lori, Bob...
LOL
ALL of the candidates are short on details of how their various plans would be executed; and that hurts their credibility.
One of Obama's strong points is that he has stated he would fund many of his initiatives by removing or raising the cap on taxable income.
Fred Thompson seems to be really struggling. He hasn't even come close to impressing me yet, and I was looking forward to him entering the race. In all the talk and news shows I've seen him appear in, since he entered the race, he keeps coming across as overly slippery.
Lori - About spell checking; I don't know what browser you use, but Mozilla's Firefox has a built in spell checker. I've been using Firefox for over a year now and have really come to prefer it over IE. Just FYI.
Obama should have countered with, "Mrs. Clinton apparantly was speaking of herself, since she has no executive experience, no legislative accomplishments, no leadership experience, and the one foray into policy-making she can point to was a dismal failure. Sleeping in the Bill Clinton's bed doesn't give one experience to to run the country. If that's all it took, there'd be a bevy of bimbos who would qualify."
