It sounds ludicroous doesn’t it? So why is it permissible for Republican zealots to make such idiotic claims, in an attempt to paint all non-Republicans, especially Democrats as Al Qeada sympathizers and as collaborators?
Why is it that the Republican’s favorite battle cry is “Democrats are un-American”? That is not to say Democrats do not sling unfounded accusations themselves, but I seem to notice a current trend that Republicans, like those of the Red Scare era, find it necessary to paint themselves in the Red, White and Blue and paint those who do not whole their thoughts and view points as the enemies of America.
“IF YOU ARE NOT FOR THE WAR, THEN YOU ARE ENEMIES OF AMERICA”
Sounds ludicrous doesn’t it?

The political games taken that would make it harder for the troops to complete the mission is also borderline. Creating bills in Congress that compromise the mission or cause logistical nightmares to continue operations making it even harder for our deployed troops is scary yet being done. Its not unAmerican..but it also is not in the best interest of the troops. I want them to come home but not in plastic body bags because of logistics.
Juan-I do think more mud is being slung by Democrats then Republicans..basicly because most of the blame can be pointed at Republican Adminstration.
How stupid.
(and Lex is a dingbat - ha ha)
And what is FOX doing?
Just look at the doubletalk that comes from their infamous leader, GW Bush.
Donald, again that is my point. Both sides tend to make idiotic assumptions and unfounded charges. But Republicans tend to favor attacking the patriotism of those that do agree with their views.
The difficulty is that people are dieing and billions of dollars of production being wasted because of it.
We really must change the nature of our money.
The troops do not have a choice regarding their mission, but when a wars mission is itself at issue tough choices must sometimes be made to prevent more of our troops and non-combatants from ending up in body bags now and in the future. Who is to blame if troops die or are injured because the money needed for troops to continue the mission given them by the Commander-in-Chief has been denied by Congress? Is it Congress or the Commander-in-Chief who commands them to pursue a mission that the People do not approve of and through their elected Representatives have refuse to finance as the most effective. The Commander-in-Chief does have the option of ending the mission.
Carol-Congress voted on the MAIN Misson-now they want to controll the battles-that is a recipe of disaster.
Peter-Reason you find little talk radio in support of Democrats is basicly it doesnt sell. You might want to research it because it has been attempted. Talk radio has more success with republicans because of sponorship and radio audioence. Fox is smart by lining up what sells..
Juan-And Congress wishes to pass the buck on Bush yet they also voted on Iraq and act like they had nothing to do with getting the troops into Iraq.
