 | Don't Worry! The features you love haven't gone away! - The calendar, in it's entirety, will still be published daily ...but with a new softer design and extra features, like the ones above!
The new "Daily Digest" section (top) changes every day to reflect a variety of topics including photography and photo essays, personal goals, history, in addition to mainstream subjects like food and entertainment. The primary emphasis however will be on content not typically found in one of the Gather Essentials or related groups.
As the remaining calendar sections are brought back 'online', please note a variety of new 'tip' boxes highlighting technical tips & tricks, special site content you may have missed, and a virtual "Water Cooler", linking you to the hottest trends and discussions in the community.
Commencing tomorrow, Wednesday, November 20, the full calendar will be published each morning, 7 days a week!
Do you have a suggestion for a topic to be featured in the new "Daily Digest"?
...if so, please let me know, and you may see it in the days ahead!!

Thank You!
I'll be waiting for the full calender tomorrow!!
I'll be adding the remaining calendar sections throughout the day today. I am phasing it in so that I can point out changes along the way, and provide more focus and attention to the new features.
As for publishing problems, what are you experiencing?
This is how I'm feeling...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Have you tried clearing the 'cache' or temporary internet files for your browser? Also, do you experience the same symptom when you use a different browser? (assuming you have one available).
What happens when you publish a simple test article with only a few words, no images, and published to 'Just Me'? ...does the same thing happen?
Here is what I suggest when creating a photo essay:
1) Create a new article.
2) Add a title, and some simple text in the body of the article.
3) Upload ALL images at one time. If you need to stop for a period of time, save the article as a 'draft'.
4) Add your final article text after all images have been uploaded.
5) Drag images into the article body as desired.
6) Publish!
Notes:
Do not access any other pages on Gather (in other tabs or windows) while editing, unless you have first (re)saved the article as a draft.
Don't delete any images once they have been uploaded.
Please let me know if these steps produce better results for you. :-)
