about me.. holiday edition

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?   hot chocolate!!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just put them under the tree? usually they are all wrapped

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? umm.. haven't had lights before.. maybe next year. but probably colored.. white is too plain

4. Do you hang mistletoe? No, i can kiss without it.. lol

5. When do you put up your decorations? We have already started putting them up, it just depends on the year

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? hmmm.... i'm not sure.. i love mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Two things.. one, getting up at the crack of dawn (or earlier.. hehe) and opening our stockings, second, putting a candy-cane in an orange and sucking on it until a hole developed and then it acted like a straw

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I never was taught to believe in santa to begin with

9. Do you open gifts on Christmas Eve? current answer: umm.. my family is coming over on dec 15th so we'll open some before christmas childhood answer:We did most of our presents christmas, occaisionaly we'd get to open one on christmas eve if dad had to work christmas morning

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?  this year we bought a small white tree and so far it only has one strand of red bells on it. but my younger sisters are going to give me some christmas ornaments on dec 15th when they come over (shh i'm not supposed to know) and i'll add more if i need them after that

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Depends on if I have to go anywhere.  I love it when I'm inside and warm, despite is on days I have to go out and about, and since work is 5 days a week, it's definitely more of a 'hate' relationship than a 'love' one.

12. Can you ice skate? sort of.. only tried it once

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? hmm.. yes! my dog! my parents FINALLY let me get a dog when i was like 15 or 16 i think. they still have him since i can't have pets and i gave him to my brother

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Being around family and making good memories.

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? a little pumpkin pie with my whipped cream.. lol. 

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?  umm.. growing up i loved the candy-cane/orange thing, and i also loved the coffee cake my mom would make on christmas morning for our "birthday cake for jesus"

17. What tops your tree? nothing right now, i need to find a star or an angel or something

18. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving?  I love giving. receiving is good, but giving is so much fun if the person enjoys it

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?  Silent Night

20. Candy Canes? Yes? No? Color? Yes, good old fashion peppermint are best.

21. Do you feel Christmas is too commercialized? Definetly, but everything is.
