"Hold The PIckles, Hold The Lettuce......"

This morning, I listened as a close friend recounted a past visit to the Plaquemines (plak-a-mens) Parish (County) Prison (Jail.) He told us about a sigh that was prominently posted there. Evidently, the sigh is mounted in a very visible location, where those entering the prison as "extended guests" of the State of Louisiana will not miss an all-important point to remember during their stay. According to my friend, the sign said:

THIS IS NOT BURGER KING. WE DO NOT "DO THINGS YOUR WAY."

THIS IS THE PLAQUEMINES PARISH PRISON. YOU DO THINGS OUR WAY.

Nuff said?

Robb - I have a friend named Kevin who is in that jail - omg - do you live close. He used to do my lawn but had a number of DWI's and well he landed in the slammer and I am sure is tired of counting fly specks on the bars - I'm hoping he'll be released in time for next summer...he's a nice guy - anyway, cute article - I'm glad you explained to the masses how to spell Plaquemine! lol...Many hugs sent your way ! Thanks Mariana. I appreciate you stopping by my articles. I hope your friend gets the help he needs while counting specks. If he is incarcerated based on the States "Third DWI Law," that is very strong indicator of compulsive behavior.
