PDA, what should a mother choose?

I want to buy a PDA to keep my life organized. I have no idea what to look for! Basically, I need an address book, calendar with plenty of internal room to input info, multiple ways to view the calendar and a touchscreen. I run a MAC which seems to complicate issues, it seems.

I went to Circuit City to find out more about them and actually hold one. They no longer carry them in the stores! Hello? The salesman told me if I wanted to buy one 'in person' I would need to go to one of my 'local' airports which for me are LaGuardia, JFK and Newark International. That would be a big, NO. So, I am scanning eBay which does not tell me a lot. Can you?

I was very excited about the new touch screen iPod with iCal but it does not input data to the calendar directly. The information is inputed through the computer which for me is doing this backwards. So, I go back to my title question ...

PDA, what should a mother choose?

Please, help me.

p.s. I have a phone so do not need that feature.

I failed to mention that the airports are where the 'business people' are.

I used to have a PDA and cell phone, but I find I love my Treo that does both. I'm able to easily sync it with my laptop and download my calener, contacts, and tasks to do from Outlook. I also am able to keep pictures on it and have some specific work applications. The only downside is when I want to use my PDA while I'm on the phone--gets very confusing then.

I haven't owned a PDA in years so I have no idea. This is probably the time to buy with a the thanksgiving deals out there.

My fav PDA is the Sony Clie. I don't know if they are compatible with Apple or not, but I think they should be. They have since been discontinued but you should be able to find a good one on e-bay. They are one of the best PDA's out there. Also, if you would rather have one not made by Sony, the Tungsten TX is another good one. My hubby has that one, and enjoys it. I liked mine because it had a nice calender, games, music player, alarms, writing software (word, excel, etc). and I have a keyboard to attach to it (very small and portable). Good luck!

Try Office Max and try out one of the lower priced Palms see if they have any that are Mac compatible or Best Buy.

I keep a lot of my info in Yahoo through their e-mail, contacts and calendar and it's free. Yahoo has a very good calendar that will allow you to have important appointments texted from your Yahoo calendar to cell phone. The good thing about this is that you can access it through the internet. Normal text charges apply but if you keep it reasonable then it's no problem. I also use my cell phone's calendar and contact info sections. Here you can add things like e-mail addresses and street addresses. With the cell phone calendar you can have the phone to send youself reminders before an appointment is due.

I have one that is also a GPS - it's by Garmin - has all the PDA stuff & more but not sure if it is avaliable for MAC

i'm in the same boat as you. You might want to try Walmart selection categories- price range, brand name-- maybe help you choose better. You can also ask people at work what they'd recommend or people you know that may have one- ask around: family,friends, your neighbor, etc. Hope this helps. 10~ good luck, best wishes! :)

i have a Tungsten PalmOne.. It has a calendar, address book, calculator, everything you would need ... you can put on pictures to have with you, it has word on it also. i love mine.

We recently got a Z22 Palm and a Tungsten. The Z22 does fine for me, I don't work but have social appointments. My husband is a manager and uses the Tungsten. We both enjoy our respective PDA's. We bought them from Best Buy.
