Cabazon, The Luxury resort, set on top of a mountain above the hills of Palms Springs, was a hide-away designed for lovers and singles. The elegance and ambiance of the decor and landscaping was absolutely breathtaking. The attendance was open to members only. Marlon and Jefferey both posessed a membership which cost each of them no less that 2500 every six months. Jeffery sheduled a weekend for four at this luxury hangout for several reasons. First of all, he had plans to propose to his precious lady, Latoya (who also happens to be his best friends sister). His second reason was to provide a window of relaxation and fun for his best friend and business partner, Marlon, after three gruling weeks of business negotiations and meetings. Jeff also felt there was a need for Marlon to spend some quality time with Sardae, the lady he had just started dating two months prior. Unfortunately, due to business opportunities and contract deals in the making, Marlon's relationship with Sardae seem to have taken a back seat. Sardae was forgiving of course, but Jeff new from experience that her forgiving heart could grow cold if the situation lasted to long.
So, the drive to Cabazon began at 6:00p.m. on Friday night. Marlon treasured the long ride to the resort as he planned to used it to catchup with the of with the happening of Sardae's life during his absense. During the drive, Marlon notice the sedate demeanor of his companiion. He wondered if he had said something wrong or if she was hiding something he needed to be aware of. He asked....She reponded: I'm just a little uncomfortable since I've never been to this resort befor. Marlon felt this was a covered excuse from the truth. He had paid close enough attention to her demanor prior to their dating to recognize when she wanted to hide something. (As a matter of fact by the time he began dating her, he new Sardae's habbits better than she did)....
He felt the need to ask "Is there anything else bothering you?" Her response was no less than unsettling to him at best. He knew the rest of the drive would prove to be very enlightning to say the least...
