I'm so disappointed...

My son got some money for his birthday last week...yup...he turned 5 on Monday...yada yada yada. Anyways, that's another story. But we went to Costco and got a really good deal on this track. It came with 15 hot wheels cars and this hot wheel track. Can I say that Hot Wheels has become cheap? The track constantly bends and it just sucks in the whole. I have to listen to him crying and whining when it doesn't go right.

Do you think I like to see this when my little man gets frustrated .... NO!!! So please...Hot Wheels you are the best company around. Please don't be so cheap anymore.

It's always such a drag when those things they have their little hearts set on don't work the way they show it on TV. What can you expect from Mattel these days?

I feel for you but I also remember it did that with me as a child and with my older children... I think that as he grows older he will think of ways to support the track as I did and then it becomes much more exciting... If he is an only child, it is harder, you have to be the older sibling helping him...

I don't ever remember my brothers having a Hot Wheels track...nor did my son. I did buy a Spiderman one for my nephew for Christmas...I hope it works okay.

I agree with everything being made cheaply these days. Alot of the board games are even being made cheap now.

aww.. poor little guy, that sucks! I seem to remember my brothers having tracks like that as kids and they were never all that sturdy..and the cars would get stuck in the tracks or fly off the tracks, you had to adjust them to get them moving again.. I'd do as Kathy suggests and let them know you're not happy.. and if it's really bad and you can't find a fix for it..maybe just bring it back to Costco and have him pick something else.

I know how you feel, my son had a couple of those back in the day, (well, he's only ten, ut it seems like a long time ago!), and he would get so upset and mad when it didn't work like they show it on the commercials...I finally stopped getting them for him, didn't want to hear him get mad anymore!

toys are made cheap now. when i was growing up tonka trucks were actually made of metal, now everything is plastic. toys from years agolasted much longer than the stuff made today.

I remember having hot wheels tracks when I was a kid and they weren't very good then either. I loved to play with the cars as a kid though and ended up improvising my own tracks :-)

I hope you call HOT WHEELS! If that track is that cheap & making your son upset I would call them on it! If you pay for a toy, it should work right!
