Tidal Threads is the name of the new quilting guild that has started up on our island this fall. It started with ladies from all over the island and they met in Grand Harbour about 12 minutes from my home. Just this week I invited them to meet in our church hall. I had a method in my madness. The group goes from 9am to noon on Thursday mornings. I am not particularly a morning person so I now I don't have to get up quite so early to go. I also plan to set up a quilt there for the winter and since it is our church I don't have to move it each week.
So far we have 19 members in our group. We will be working on both our own individual projects and from time to will do a group project. The first group project is a quilt that we are giving to the Rotary Club to sell tickets on to raise money for their scholarship fund.
