Ever abruptly realize that you have completely slipped out of the habit of checking your email? I'm not too good with email - most of the time, I forget to look at it. Unfortunately, this isn't a very good thing, because that just means it accumulates, and that people who are trying to get hold of me (and don't know other methods) wonder if I've ceased to exist. Which makes me feel pretty darn foolish when I start going through my mailbox.
I just realized I haven't actually sorted through my Gather mailbox in...
Well, to put it another way, it has over three thousand letters in it. (Had - I'm going through it right now.) I've occasionally thought to have a quick look - but most of the time, I'm too busy, I'm distracted, I'm trying to put a column together... something comes up. Y'know how that is?
So now I'm finally getting around to trying to sort out my Gather mail. Eeeesh.

I have close friends that live far away that I keep in frequent contact with, so I check my mail morning, noon and evening. Most of my replying is done in the morning. I get up before the kids have to get up and do my replies. Especially if they ar going to be lengthy. The early morning is my primary time for emails.
I don't use my G-mail for personal use. I only get mass mailings in that mailbox.
