Tassimo Brewer: A Product review

You may have read about me referring  to my Tassimo in my Books & Beverages reviews here on gather, and wonder what is this Tassimo thing?

 Well, I'll tell you...it's the coolest little kitchen gadget I know.  It's more than just a coffee brewer, it makes teas, cappuccinos, espressos, hot chocolate and even more.

When I first got this machine I ordered the espresso t-discs and some cappuccino...but then I thought, what about the kids?  So, I ordered some hot chocolate discs for them.   It brews up the perfect cup every time.

 The idea is that you take these T-discs and place them in the brewer.  The machine reads the bar code on the disc and makes the water the perfect temperature and the perfect amount for the drink being made.

I did some experimenting with this thing and got me a big mug and placed on the machine (you use your own cups and brew right into the cup).  I put in an espresso disc and brewed up a cup of espresso, then without removing the espresso, I put in a hot chocolate disc and brewed the chocolate into the espresso.  Then to top it off, I added the milk disc to make the foaming milk (from the cappuccino kit).  and had myself a perfect cup of Mochaccino...it was delish.

 They also make tea discs that brew the perfect cup of tea every time.

 I've found that this is also great for brewing tea with tea bags.  You simply put in the "cleaning" disc, which just allows hot water to run through.  Place your cup with tea bag inside in the machine...and boom, you get quick cup of hot tea.

Trust me this thing is cool.
