A Haunting: Legend Trippers - Or Hey! That's OUR Story! (A Photo Essay)

Last week the Discovery Channel aired a new edition of their A Haunting series. This one was about Wisconsin Legend Trippers in Dartford Cemetery.

We are in contact fairly regularly with Chad Lewis (who appears on the show) and we were notified of when the show would be on. We have actually been to the cemetery in question twice. Our most recent trip there was on October 27 of this year.

We cannot report much odd feelings or things ar Dartford Cemetery, but it is an old, quaint and beautiful cemetery. Many of the monuments there date back to the Victorian Age.

Then in the midst of the story about Dartford comes Chad Lewis on the show. He tells a bit about his site and how people, like us go to these places to perform their own investigations. The show moves into a popular place on his site that gets a lot of attention: Witch Road.

Some of you might remember my report that was published last year about Witch Road. More recently it was republished this past halloween as a photo essay.

Chad goes on to tell his favorite story about Witch Road where a couple is out there with their four year old son. I stopped dead when I saw this. I was thinking no way.. that's not us, is it?  The story was slightly different as you can see by my published reports here, but it has been confirmed to be our story.

Then the show goes back to Dartford Cemetery. The story there will surely creep you all out. It's the experience of three kids from 1996.

It's said that if one sits on this grave that you will be pushed off by a spirit. Having nothing but respect for the dead, we did not try this dare on our trips out there, but we did theorize that the domed shape to the top could have been the cause of the loss of balance if one were to stand on top and be 'pushed.' 

However, as you will see on the show these kids were sitting on the grave. That kind of puts our theory to rest.. in this case..

It is also reported that Chief Highknocker haunts the cemetery. Perhaps he's a guardian protecting it.

Chad Lewis called us up and said that it is indeed our story of what happened out there, but he did change it slightly. We were asked about this story of what we experienced at Witch Road on a number of occasions when we met Chad. Most recently was in an email sent last April. The show was taped this past summer.
