If you haven't already heard Michael Symon won the title of Iron Chef on the final episode of The Next Iron Chef last Sunday. He beat Besh when both their dishes were judged by three of the current American Iron Chefs, Cat Cora, Bobby Flay and Masaharu Morimoto. Not in attendence was the other Iron Chef, Mario Batali. They were able to vote for their favorite as was the three judges that had been on each of the Next Iron Chef episodes. This coming Sunday Symon will enter kitchen stadium once again this time as an Iron Chef for his first battle on Iron Chef America at 9 PM EST. Also on Nov. 17 at 7 PM EST you can see a repeat of the battle between John Besh and Mario Batali if you so desire. Kim I was like you and pulling for Besh in the beginning but also started to like Symon and I think I'd have been equally happy with Besh. I do think Symon fits in with his picture of the other Iron Chefs but then again maybe Besh would have as well.
