it's so hard to think of something so cute being a nuisance we have never had a problem except when camping, they love toilet paper

Our problem in MI is the overpopulation of the whitetail deer! They cause many car accidents and just last year totalled out my son's car!! Makes you scared to even drive near wooded property or at night! I see dozens of them just outside my dining room window every night.

we did in our area this spring, because they clear cut a bunch of bush around us - displaced a lot of our wildlife - it all seems to have settled down again now though

and both of the lots on our street apparently got into trouble - and the developments are on hold/cancelled. Hopefully it will take them a good long time to get sorted out.

that's scary, Deb... I worry about deer and other assorted critters when Im driving 3 hours each way to and from the main campus of my university ... see a lot of deer, coyotes, and smaller critters... one bear that someone hit, as well. Glad it wasn't me!

They are so cute. We don't feed them this time of year because they chew wholes in the overhanging wood at the roof level to get into the crawl spaces for the winter. They are smart.

These guys have done a numer on our home in the past. Of course with my new flinging feeder, they don't even try to get on it anymore.

Ive had a raccoon run under the car tire a few years ago and a opposum this summer. around this area we have to worry more about peoples dogs than we do deers. But i had a friend a few years back that had a deer go threw her windshield and was in the passengers seat and out on the hood of the car. she had made her young daughter ride in the back seat that day or it would have been a real tragedy, she was very lucky. larger animals running around scare me when driving

Squirrels are very, very smart as Marianne R. can attest of that. They are so smart if you board up their entry into your home, they will chew another hole open to get in or out,whatever the case may be.

I enjoy the ones around my house they are so much fun to watch. They play with my cats and even beg them to come out and play with them. Now in the summer when I plant my garden , it gets to be a differrent story. Since the hunters quit going Squirrel hunting they have gotten over populated. Yes.

No squirrels in the house, but they have made a home in my garage..also..the rats are burrowing in thru my concrete wall . I have been finding piles of dirt in my basement and the dogs are going nuts...Can't wait till the kittens can go for them!!

We have had a couple come down the chimney but in a few years. They run a muck in the house.

I checked the links and couldn't find anything on how to get rid of nuisance humans.

They move into an area, push the wildlife out of their habitat, then get upset the animals try to share space with them.

I wonder how many hits such a site would get if animals had laptops.

Cute pictures. Why is it that squirrels look so cute but their close cousins, rats don't? I'd rather have a hundred squirrels in my yard than one rat in my house.

we have a family of 6 ... they come to the door and we give them peanuts and other tasty treats... we love their antics... but they've never come inside...

I do wildlife rescue, raise and release squirrels, possum, raccoons, birds. One of my squirrels is in a Rubbermaid commercial. As many as I've released on my land i"ve never had any problems with them chewing into the house
