Fibro Fog Tag

Hmmm. The animals and I have developed a routine. I wake up, get dressed, take the dog out, then fix food for the two cats and dog. They all wait eagerly while I do that. One day, I did all of those things (or so I thought), then sat in front of the TV to see what was happening in the world.

Something was different, though. I noticed that all three animals were sitting on the floor in front of me, questioning me with their eyes. What? I told them to go and eat. They stayed.

I went back into the kitchen to discover that I had dished out two bowls of cat food and one of dog food, just like I was supposed to do. Only problem is that I put them all in the refrigerator!

I have a lot of this problem.

That doesn't usually happen to me. :) Normally, my experience with fibro fog is almost a haze over the world around me. When I see/feel that, I know what kind of day it will be. Time will rush by, but I won't get much accomplished. It's as if I'm having to force my way through the fog as I walk and go about "living."

Any stranger could come in after one of those days and see the house in shambles and dishes still in the sink and wonder what I did all day. I guess my response would have to be, "Nuttin' honey."

Great Marilyn, I don't know any of my stories. LOL. But these fibro fogs suck!

I am reading the stories in the link and they are funny. I know that I have done some or more of these but cannot for the life of me think of one! Gee Fibro Fog!

I know fibro can not be fun I have seen my mom go through it and trust me her fibro days are no fun for anyone around her no offence to her or anyone who has fibro. But I have to say the funniest thing she ever did was when she put the bateries she gets for things we use bateries for in the refrigerater and tried to put the Katchup in the drawer. Bad thing was the dang bottol fit in that drawer because she keeps ever what knot in her filling cabnet. LOL

oh by the way took her only a hour to find the batteries when she went to get milk out of the frigurater butb took us 3 weeks to find the catchup. Needless to say it was ruined. LOL

Shoes in the frig...milk in the closet and I'm still missing a pound of hamburger???????

At the moment I am trying to locate a flash drive a pair of sandals and two cd cases. Hard to say where they might be. I wonder if one of my dogs might be able to tell me where I put them in my foggy moment.

Are we laughing yet? One lady told me that she bought one of those "clap-on/clap-off" things, but as a key locator. Then she lost the clapper. And her keys.

Oh, Vana. Losing a pound of hamburger isn't good. Could be awfully smelly.

Don't know if this qualifies or not but I made chicken & dumplings once & left the chicken out. My family looked at me kind of strange.

If you put us all us fibro friends in a room together we wouldn't remember what you were making. As far as we would know dumpling soup was for dinner...lol.

It's bad, though, when your pets look at you like you're nuts 'cause you've done something they find strange. I guess that's when I'm glad no one else is around...especially as I search to see why they're looking at me so oddly.

Vana...I don't think they've ever gotten hold of any ground meat they shouldn't have had. :)

Okay, I almost did something tonight, but I caught myself. My stomach is bugging me, so I thought I'd eat some ice cream. Sometimes that helps settle my tummy. I dished out some ice cream, then as I went to put it away, I almost put it on top of the frig instead on inside the freezer. Glad I caught myself on that one. What a mess it would have been...

Actually...I'm kinda hoping she did...it's been a few days and don't smell anything yet. I checked the receipt to make sure I bought it when I got the milk and my husband tells me he hasn't seen any lying around!

LOL OMG I love you ladies!! I think I have done most of these things too. The worse part is I used to have a photographic memory- now I can't remeber half the time where the camera is at. LOL

One really bad day I was buying something at the store and my debit card kept getting declined! I ALWAYS have money in the bank or I don't buy something. I finally paid with a charge card and left. I got to thinking that something was definitely wrong- I had just made a $1,200. deposit a few days before. So I call the automated banker and I'm advised that I'm $300.00 in the whole- I was PO'ed! I went home and started adding everything up I had wrote checks for, etc. and kept coming up $1,200. short. After a lot of thinking I finally remembered I did go to the bank- but there were no deposit envelopes so I handed the money back to my husband. I was frantic at this point. To top it off I could not find the money for about 2 hours!!! Trying to calm down I remembered handing the money to my husband- he had looked in the car several times but couldn't find it. I go outside and find it right away-- in the glovebox! I of course tried to put all the blame on him!! LOL All told the bank charges were over $200.!! Thankfully they only charged me about $70. It could have been a lot worse! LOL

I've left food in the car that should have been in the refrigerator (maybe thats where your beef is Vana!). I keep forgetting that I let the dog outside. I forgot my husband at work one day. And dang I just remembered I was supposed to pick my moms prescription up today!! LOL

Sorry but I'm OCD too- I spelled "remember" wrong so I wanted to correct it!

I have bought stuff and it was never given to us in the bags. Ours was sandwiches and when my groceries fell over in my van, i was worried about our lunch being squashed so badly that we could not eat it. So i stopped. they were not there. We went back and they claimed that they never saw tehm but they were on the receipt. Turns out the baggers kept our sandwiches and they had to pay for new ones. when they found the first set, they were given to us as well.

I have days of confussed with ms at times.I know these 2 illness sound simalar. Good article.
