There was a fair maiden named Cinderairia, the daughter of a wealthy
man named Alistair. Cinderairia's mother passed away and Alistair
married a woman who bore him three daughters, Blair, Clair and Naira.
These three girls were not as fair as Cinderairia, and when Alistair died,
Cinderairia's stepmother, impaired in her thinking, although a millionaire
by inheritance, and could easily afford upstairs and downstairs maids,
decided that poor Cinderairia was not quite good enough to be fairly
treated, as her own children, so delegated the dusting and sweeping
under armchairs and side chairs to the fair Cinderairia. The girl,
did her chores, repaired things that were broken, and made beautiful
clothes for her stepsisters.
An announcement was received by airmail inviting all four girls to a
ball given by the King for his son, Prince Clairence McFair. Well, Lairetta
the stepmother, decided that only her own daughters would attend this
prestigious affair .She bought reams of fairy like fabrics of beautiful
colors and had poor Cinderaira make dresses for Blair, Clair and Naira.
They were all lovely. Sadly, the girls themselves were, in all fairness
quite ugly.
They dressed for the ball and Lairettea went with them, escorted
by a gentleman named Baird who was quite debonair. When they left
Cinderairia sat on the stairs, down in the lair where she lived,
and cried tears of sadness because she wanted to go airily dancing too.
Suddenly, a woman named Elsie appeared. She was full of fairness, and had
a wand in her hand and waived it quite fairy like and said I am your Fairy
Godmother, sent here by Alistair, your dear father, to look after you. Don't
cry, my child, I have concessionaires working to get you ready for the
ball. Let's get you upstairs, and do not despair, I will not let those short
haired sisters of your's, impair you from meeting the King's son.
I am clairvoyant and I see the airiest of futures for you. I am the chairperson
in charge of the airheads running this ball, and they will not start it until
I have announced your arrival and then in a hairsplitting second, all will
begin.
Hairstylists appeared and her longhair was done up in a lovely
hairdo, with beautiful hair combs shining with diamonds set in them.
A gown of silver fabric, fine as a hairnet, covering silver satin, was fitted
on Cinderairia. A limo as long as an airliner was waiting to pick her
up and with the airspeed of a supersonic jet, they arrived at the ball.
She stepped out of her limo and with her air step glass slippers, ran up
to the entrance to the ball. Music filled the air, and the guest of honor,
dressed in leather and mohair, rose from his armchair, with her in
his crosshairs, knocked over a tray of éclairs, with a leap extaordinaire.
He bowed to Cinderairia, fairly swept her into the air, into a fairyland dream.
Alls fair, said Elsie, smiling.

Hee-Hee!! Loved it.
love it Ms Elsie you have outdone yourself again...
Thanks Elsie... you are an inspiration for us to create more innovative ideas.
I loved the "airheads running the ball!"
Elsie Duggan! Cinderella was one of my favorites you know.
But you did it up so fine with all the 'airs' you added to it!
'Airheads running the ball' made me chuckle so much Elsie.
Thanks for cheering me up dear lady. Love you
except those poor eclairs!*sigh* what a waste!
we need a sequel! lol! Elsie, that's where you get your magical imagination! you're an enchanted FGM!(Fairy God Mother)
Delightful remake of a classic story. Short haired women always have bad hair days. The Fairy Godmother in this story is sweet. I wonder who she could be?
That was a lovely story and I don't know how you do this. It's so mind boggling.
I could never dream uo all these airs.
I can imagine you telling modernised fairy tales to the neighbourhood kids.
Wish I could sit on a bench nearby and listen. With a smile and a glass of Dandelion wine in my hand. Bless you dear.
you are wonderful
Excellent but then you wrote it so it would be grand.
Blessings
