Sounds great, Renda. I like the use of the pastry as more of a dessert.

FOLLOW BOX DIRECTIONS for cooking rice, shrimp, mushrooms, and pepper. Layer in cooking dish according to directions. Garnish with mango chutney, according to Shan package directins also. I am looing for a widget. The closest thing this would look like is paella, but it is an indian dish with no tomatoes and chutney is a feature for most cooks.
LOL! Very simple, Audrey :)
Extras: cider vinegar, minced habanero pepper, fresh parmesan
Mix chutney, cider vinegar and habanero. Set aside.
Mince shrimp and red pepper. Saute in oil for a few minutes, just to cook shrimp. Load mixture into portobello caps.
Drape each individual mushroom with 1 section of pastry. Sprinkle with parmesan, pressing as needed to keep cheese in place.
Bake til pastry is puffed and golden.
Serve mushrooms with dipping sauce.

Me too, Sue. It's why I could never work in a sales field like Matt does. You have to be nice every damn day...
Don't like shrimp, Lyla?
Cook the shrimp in salted water until done, chop. Saute peppers and half the mushrooms in oil for a few minutes, stir in chutney. Remove from skillet and mix with cream cheese and chopped shrimp, set aside. In same pan, heat drippings and saute remaining mushrooms, add flour and stir for a minute until flour cooks, add cream. Put the shrimp/cream cheese mixture into puff pastry and form a strudel. Bake, and serve with mushroom cream sauce.
I am ignoring the Heinz references...
Meanwhile, shape the puff pastry into shells using a muffin pan and bake.
Spoon the shrimp mixture into the pastry shells. Serve with the mango chutney and soy sauce to which you have added some more of the chile pepper from step 1.
