Today was a slow day. It seems when I take too much time away from writing I lose my momentum and such. As a result it's harder to get back into the swing of things, so to speak. Today brought a little progress and a big milestone. I hit the elusive 1/2 way NaNo mark. :) My novel is in no way 1/4 compete at this point, but I am progressing well in the Nano state of things.
How is everyone doing? Are you finding that you are covering a large portion of your plot or a small portion?
At midnight I stood at:

By 12am on the 13th you should aim to minimally be at 21,671 words. Good luck!

If I waited for silence and the perfect moment to write, well I'd never write.
I often go 100 words at a time a lot of the time between cooking, cleaning, playing and caring for our son and other varied obligations. Though, since I am a SAHM/WAHM I do have a whole day to eek out this novel... 100 words at a time if need be.
I'm slowing a little in terms of the parts that push the story forward. The word count at the moment is coming from fleshing out minor characters' stories, which needs to be done.
So far, an intriguing writing experience.
