REGRETS

  I can honestly say that I have no regrets. I don't even believe in regrets. I think they are just life lessons. Some may be mistakes, but how can you grow as a person and become stronger if you dont make mistakes?  I would never take back anything I have done.  After all if you don't take chances you'll be the what if person.

Then.... I saw  this Quote and I completely agree

    "Nothing Lasts forever, So live it up, drink it down, laugh it off, avoid the bullshit, take a chance, & never have regrets, because at one point, everything you did, was EXACTLY what you wanted."

 

Whats your take on regrets?

I think we can have remorse for certain choices we have made, and I think we should, actually, because only then can we learn from the poor choices. But regrets don't really change anything; it still happened, so learn from it and get over it.

I think the experiences of our lives make us who we are. I have no regrets...I've certainly made a few bad choices, but they turned out to be for the best in the long run.

True quote. I agree.
Sort of along the lines of Be True To Yourself. Regret is in reality a wasted emotion, easily sad but not always felt by the sayer. Great little article, thanks for sharing

I love the quote and believe life should be like that. However, I do find myself regretting things in my life, decisions I have made. They did make me grow as a person in some ways but also kind of changed my life in a way I am not happy with. Right now I am trying to make things right for me. I think I just analyze things too much.

I regret I have but one life to give...Oh..never mind. LOL Learn from your mistakes and you shouldnt have any regrets. Turns a negative into a positive! C):-)

Occasionally I will start to regret something I have done in the past, but then I tell myself that everything happens for a reason, and even my mistakes make me the person I am today... and have gotten me to where I am in today, in my life.

True within limits. Yes, you should live life and not beat yourself up when you make a mistake, but also learn from your mistake.
Lyndon (Pink Lincoln) J. J., the headline/title is a mistake, not a regret.
I noticed it right off the bat, but I guess that's from too many years of proofing my own...and editing others'. You too?
Headlines are the easiest place to miss a typo...the bigger the type size, the harder it is to see. ;-)

Guess I'm going to have to look up "regret." As far as I know, I regret times when I've hurt people and try to learn to be more careful. Wouldn't I become someone I don't want to be if I didn't let regrets teach me to change direction?

Interesting...not many regrets...either I'm older or I have more to regret! In any event, sometimes I regret some things...other times, I don't regret them...But, for you, hey, keep going in this direction and you'll save yourself some heart ache...On the other hand, don't we want to continue to evaluate our actions and try to do better?
Just wondering...cause you made me start thinking...so that's good! right?

i know regrets are not really useful, but i'm still trying
to get over the day my marriage ended... 7 years ago...
it was my fault and i still cry about it...

I may regret that things didn't work out the way my parents may have wanted but I do not regret my life or what I have in it :)

I agree. Regretting something means you still hold the guilt from what you did. It's unhealthy to hold onto things that pull you down. Best to learn from your mistakes and pull your boot straps up and make every effort not to repeat it. There's not point in regretting something. It's not like you can undo what you've done. If you've hurt somebody and you've tried to make ammends to the one's you've hurt, then it's up to them to forgive you and go on. But you've done your part and no need to hold on to that regret/guilt.

They're there whether I wish to have them or not. But that is good advice...
the only thing I could really regret is believing in something or someone... and you can't regret that because then you'd STOP.
