I want to, but everytime I see this around gather and elsewhere no one will answer my question. Do you need a social security number to check out? This is what I've heard. I don't want to give info like that over the net.

I am a non active member of yuwie. I found that you only get credit for others coming on your site and posting and voting. You have to rely on others to get paid. Here at gather you get paid on the work you do. If I work hard on gather I do well. If I work hard on yuwie I get nothing. I also do not give out my social security number for any reason. I wish you luck with the site but I rather rely on myself to earn money than hope someone else likes my work and will help me.

I belong to Yuwie, but I don't really care for it. You have to get people to sign up under you to make any money, and I am not good at 'bothering' people...and then even if you get them to sign up, THEY have to be participating regularly as well, for you to make any money. Seems like a lot of work. I have been on Yuwie for four months now, and I have only made four cents!!

In reply to Dawn you do get credit for other people visiting your stuff and voting but you also get credit for the stuff you do. Every page you visit you get a page view. Even if its just reading a message or viewing a comment someone left you or leaving a comment for someone else.

I am not sure about the social security number to checkout thing. I haven't made enough to check out. Its super easy to sign up I would suggest signing up and then asking some of the people there. I know quite a few have cashed out but I don't know the process. You should have better luck asking there than on gather. I do know you don't need a soc to sign up.
