You've just gotta be kidding me. Who in the world would believe that this could possibly have happened? Rudy Giuliani, a pro-gay, right to death, candidate has been endorsed by the anti-gay, right to life champion, Pat Robertson. Well now, these are understatedly strange bedfellows. Hmmm...but are they really?
Rudy and Robertson have more in common than you would think. Both are slick, self-indulgent businessmen with no scruples who like to mislead their constituencies with the idea that they are their life rafts. Giuliani is their savior from terror and Robertson is their savior from hell, or so they would have you believe. Pat wants your money and Rudy wants your votes.
Robertson, who stated that people's inclinations toward homosexuality and abortion were reasons for God's wrath and the 9-11 attacks now endorses a man to hold the highest office in this country who rallies to support what Robertson has deemed ungodly initiatives and the very crux of our demise, but even worse, Robertson says he is supporting Giuliani because of his strong stand against terrorism. Is it something in the water?
The only thing I see that makes any sense of this partnership, is the slimy but obvious conclusion that the Religious Right feels they need to play the politics game and steal a place in the government hierarchy, totally antithetical to any biblical, spiritual and God-fearing tenets. This clearly says that the end justifies the means. When people who claim to be Christians sell their souls to a political agenda, you don't have to be a prophet to know that the end is imminent.
The only thing we can hope for is that this affiliation will work to do exactly the opposite of its intention and make real Christians start to think for themselves, stop believing in the sanctity of their so called leaders and start believing in God again. It might also make some Giuliani lovers think twice too.

Love it.
I forgot, silly me -- this IS politics as usual.
Well it's a sellout for P.R and any of his followers and very political, of course. For Rudy it's a boon that might win him the nom.
Guess Rudy is not above making a pact with the (devil?) dark side, lol.
BTW, why are you sending all that cold air down here? We were in the 80's yesterday afternoon and now we're expecting temps in the 30's tonight. Not nice. (lol)
