Wow! You did a great job Brenda. I have only seen the geese flying overhead. We haven't taken a lot of time to drive around and take in the scenery this year.

great shot,, I get duck around here at the river, yet, no geese yet,, soon there will be, and Nebraska is a the area where Sand Hill Cranes go to also I cant wait for that

These pictures are wonderful Brenda, and did you ever know when geese or any other birds are flocking and getting ready to move from one place to another, how wonderfully perfect their flying formation is, you would think they are like the Blue Angels and trained but of course we copied their formation, there must be something natural about it, an instintiveness to get in line and fly right, I love it, watching them.

that looks like an ocean to me...is it Lake Erie?
beautiful shots.we are seeing the geese and othr birds flocking now,too. there have been many "V'" shaped groups flying as they head south. wonderful

Thanks everyone. Sheila, its Seneca Lake in Geneva New York. Bhawana, the 4th one is my favorite too. The were all along the shore until I went over to get their picture, then they all started swimming away. You can see that in the waves of the water.

Brenda~ Great pictures. =) We have a pond behind our house. And the Canadian geese spend their season here. Laying their eggs, and hatching their young. And when they finally learn to fly they leave.
We have anywhere from 25 to 60 geese at once. The mess is just to disgusting. lol They get a little over friendly. They love to have bread thrown to them. They'll follow us through the yard yelling for food. Sometimes it gets scary. Ya never know when one of them will flock ya.. lol
Once one got hit in the road. I went out to help it. It let me pick it up. But once I went to lay it down in my yard. Its wings flew open, and the wing span was awesome. So powerful it knocked me on my butt~ lmbo =)

wow, I wonder if they are gathering to fly south for the winter?
Great photo essay. I had to smile as I read your comment on my photo essay. Yep, our guys know us pretty well. I never go anywhere without my camera. One day I thought I had it but when I needed it I did not have it...........I felt naked until I got home to make sure my camera was ok. LOL
