how many of your are going to be brave and go out shopping on black friday?

What time are you going to be at the stores?? Going to brave those early crowds at 4:00am??

Going for anything in particular or see what looks good, or just get ideas for Christmas or you just like the hustle and bustle of the crowds..it's a good workout??

I usually try to avoid the stores on this day. As a matter of fact, I will probably do most of it on line.

I worked on Black Friday for many years and vowed not to shop that day and I don't. Two years ago I had to be at work at 4am!!!!!!!!!

LaRue and rita..i agree with both of you..no stores for me on that day either!!

Danielle...oh my goodness..having to work on Black Friday...how frightening!!! People here get really mean in the stores!!!

The women in the family including my wife get up at an ungodly hour and head out. All the more power to them...However, they don't take it seriously enough to be mean...

Tom--The women in your family have my prayers on that day. I know where I live people go crazy, like it is the last day on this earth and all the retail goods are going to be gone!!

Hi! Charlotte K. Just thinking about that mess makes me remember when I worked for J.C.Penny, in St, Louis, on the South Side. Oh! Man! You talk about needing hazardous duty pay!! I vowed I not shop on that day ever, and contribute to the lunacy the sales girls go through. And don't let any man fool you. I worked in the men's department, and they are as bad as the ladies. I am with you and LaRue and Rita. I will curl up with Hot Chocolate and a book first. Thanks for the fun thoughts. Ellen B

Ellen...I tried going out and shopping in that madness once, and got stuck in a traffic jam in Walmart...no..not the parking lot...INSIDE the store....and I HATE crowds!!!! Needless to say it was not pretty!! Oh I know men are just as bad...let me tell you I will Never EVER do it again!!!

I've never gone to the sales that start this early. I hate crowds and don't want to fight for what I want. This year, I am working and don't get off till seven, so I will miss the early sales. I'm usually out by 7am and wouldn't mind working so much if I was getting holiday pay....
I love shopping on Black Friday! I get such great deals!
Not me. I won't be able to fight any of the crowds in my area. Not with my bad leg. I would get knocked over.

I went out only because my brother asked me. But I left the house at 6:30 am not 4:00 am like some crazy person.

I always go with my friend and my sister. We head out about 3:30 am. I am mostly just looking for gifts for my kids.

My hubby works retail so he has to work that morning. My mom takes the day off work to watch my kids for me. :) I usually do a little bit of her shopping too.

Our Super WalMart started their sales at 5am, so I got up at 4:30 and headed out. I got there with about 1 minute to spare and the place was so packed I could barely navigate the cart through. I did get almost everything I went in for so it was a good trip.

I think I will shop online this year. Great deals are online this year. The shopping malls are a thing of the past. All that traffic. I shop in my bath robe

holiday pay for the day for black friday we would all work wow the new holiday black friday we should tell the president it is a good idea that more of us could go shopping. Think of all the money that would go back into the economy I have to laugh
