Dental insurance has become very expensive, it's no lie. And yet the need for more and more low cost dental health plans are sky rocketing, after all, we all have teeth and they need to be cared for.
Even if one takes the best care of their teeth, without the proffesional cleaning from a qualified dentist or dental assistant, odds are you will still get a cavity. And if you don't have the insurance, the cavity will get worse until you need a root canal.
It's no surprize to everyone that the plan of dental insurance provided from the government will not pay for a root canal, instead your tooth will be pulled. As I have had happen to me, and even now, I still morn the loss of my molar. Not to mention that the insurance wouldn't pay for the penicilin or codine after the extraction. But is government insurance fair to all?
I am a hard working individual, who has never been an addict, I take care of each of my children with pride, I volunteer in my childrens organizations, and well, Even thoguh I serve my country well, I am treated as a second class citizen as many others are as well.
Did you know that the government will pay for dentures for Meth addicts? The Meth eats their teeth away, and then they get a new set for free. Medication and all. Its a surgery if they choose to be put under to take their rotting teeth out of their misrable mouths, or if their feeling frisky, they can just have the novicane and have the teeth extracted. They get two weeks worth of pain pills and penicillin so thier mouths can feind off infection.
Why can't the people in our society get the treatment that they earn? Rewarding bad behavior seems to be the norm around the country anymore. In my state, the people who are recieving public assistance get the choice of getting a college degree, all they have to do is sit on Welfare for a few years. So with in the next 5 years or so, those people who didn't have to pay their ways through college will have a better job, and possibly be the boss of the people who have worked hard to get to where they are now.
Please don't get me wrong, Im not thumping public assistance, But treat them as normal people, they can go out and get financial aide like everyone else. If I can struggle working, motherhood, and school, then why can't another?

This is just one of the reasons the Bible has such bad things to say about money and the wealthy.
It doesn't have to be that way. We could / can change the nature of the money our society uses such that you wouldn't have to worry about paying for medical care or housing or food and clothes.
I know this sounds like some sort of socialist, high taxes, government wealth redistribution plan but it isn't. In fact, there are no taxes at all at any level in my plan. All property is private property (none is public or collectively owned). The government is unable to regulate business or any of the free markets and in fact there is almost no government remaining.
To see how this is all possible please read my novel "Invisible Hand" which I am publishing here on Gather a few chapters each day. It's fun to read and you will gain a whole new understanding of how things work and what we can do about it.
Or you can skip the ads Gather supplies by going to:

It's complete there.
My thought continued, why does each community not have a full-service medical facility, created and paid for by that community, through grants, philanthropy, subscriptions, fund raisers, whatever each community comes up with. Costs could be kept low. Those who didn't have the money at all could be given individually designed payment plans, or get their costs offset by others' contributions. Each community clinic could be designed to provide the kinds of services needed by that community, with changes coming into play as community needs change.
