Another waste of money - $33,000 Dog Washing Machine

Here's another insane waste of money. I tjink a little doggie shampoo and a bathtub works just as well.

A dog washing machine is the latest craze for canines in Poitiers, France.

The machine, which cost more than $33,000 (23,000 Euros) washes and dries the pets in four minutes.

An operator stands by to watch and makes sure the dog is comfortable. To prove that the washing machine is safe, the machine owner climbed in with the dog.

A local grooming competitor nearby maintains that he will always hand wash the pets that come into his shop.

"There'll never be a machine here. It's obvious that the animal's stress is even more awful when it's in a machine," he said.

If it's safe enough for the guy to get into the machine with the dog, would it replace the need for showers?

We saw this on the news. Thought that, not only is it a stupid waste of money, but it's probably a little creepy for the dogs too. I mean, how would you like it if somebody put you in a closed box that started spraying water and soap? The nut's competitor has it right, I think.
