Paula Deen working on Children's Cookbook

I was watching Paula's Party awhile ago (the repeat from last night) and learned she's working on a children's cookbook. I bet it'll be dedicated to her first grandchild, Jack. I searched the net to see if I could come up with anything else. Like ....When will it be coming out? Name? ETC? but only came up with the following article:

Which is from the September 6, 2007 issue of the Dallas Morning News newspaper. She taped an episode of her show in Dallas. Here's the part that mentiones the children's cookbook:

"The presence of the Love kids gave Paula the opening to announce that she had begun working two weeks ago on a children's cookbook, no doubt inspired by her adored year-old grandson, Jack. "

I bet this will be some cookbook. She had Kermit the Frog on her Paula's Party Thanksgiving show. I don't think Kermit has a cookbook but his good friend Miss Piggy does, called In The Kitchen With Miss Piggy. It's filled with celebrity recipes.

This is the first I've heard of it. I'll have to keep an eye out for it. It may be something good for my nieces.

Someday soon I'm hoping to have an "In the Kitchen with Madame Donna" cookbook. I wish I had all the help Paula Deen does to get the manuscript finished.

Madame Donna, do keep us informed. Bet it will be a wonderful cookbook.
I have to wonder what the recipes will look like - will there be any butter-drinking involved? I'd love to see her do healthy-for-kids versions of her southern classics!

KitchenMage and Madame Donna, Paula did actually do an episode of healthier recipes once. Not sure if any of those recipes made it to one of her books or not.
She's definitely one of those "when I want to be indulgent" cooks - not that that is a bad thing, just not an everyday one.

Very neat. I'm not very familiar with her. Wonder if the recipes will actually be stuff I can do in the kitchen with my two kids - ages 4 and 2?
